It's starting to look like something!

I have done some work on my top, and the neckpiece is done! It looks good, and I hope it's approved. :)

The fabric has arrived!

I got the fabric for my undersuit at the post office today, and it was fantastic! Just like I hoped it would be; glossy and stretchy, and not to uncomfortable to wear over time. 

I have cut out the first pieces now, and my sewing machines are connected and ready.

My overlock-machine, a sewing machine that cuts the edges of the fabric while sewing. It uses four threads at the time, making the seam stretchy and firm. I love this machine, this would be impossible without. :)

ROM/FX ordered

My ROM/FX kit is ordered! It is a sound system that will make my voice sound like a real trooper. I ordered the classic kit, which includes a static burst voice amplifier, a microphone, a speaker (I think I will buy some others), battery and a PCB balloon (whatever that is). Oh, and of course an instruction sheet.

The thing I'm curious about, is how my female voice will sound with this kit, I hope I can tune my voice down. ;)

Blaster kit ordered!

I have ordered my blaster kit, and it should be in the mail soon! A blaster is also on the way, now I only need the paint!

I will take some pics when get it. :)

Oh, and the blaster is of course in the mail too. :)

The fabric

Here's the fabric I ordered for my black undersuit! It's just a pic from the website, I'll take som real pics when I get it in the mail! :) It's glossy sports stretch, and I hope it'll work out well. 

Armour ordered!

I have just ordered my armour, an AP suit! It's being sent tomorrow, and I can't wait to see it! The seller is also a trooper, and these guys are the most friendly and helpful people I've met in a long time. It's going to be so nice to troop with them!

Meeting the Nordic Garrison

Last saturday, me and my lbf went to the scandinavian sci-fi, game & film convention in Lillestrøm, and there we met the Nordic Garrison! We decided to try to join them, because it seemed like a lot of fun and a nice challenge for a crafter. 

My goal is to finish a Stormtrooper costume and start trooping!

I've just ordered the fabric used for the black undersuit, I will sew it myself to get the details I want. I'm still looking for white jodpurs (riding boots) in my size (US mens 7 or womans 8.5), I might have to buy some black ones and paint them myself. I'll soon order the kit for the white parts as well, and I just bought a Dremel toolbox to make the fitting easier. 

I'll try to update here as often as I can while I make my costume.
